An unmanned boat struck a piling on the southbound Tamiami Trail bridge on Wednesday, but emergency officials said that the structure of the bridge was not damaged.
Signs of damage were visible on the empty boat under the bridge on Wednesday, though it is not known if the damage came from striking the bridge itself.

No one was found aboard the ship when it was found under the bridge, according to Public Safety spokesperson Todd Dunn.
