North Port Moose Lodge eyes move to Austin’s

The North Port Moose Lodge had explored the possibility of buying the former Austin’s North Port and Olde World restaurant as a new lodge. The deal has fallen through, however.

NORTH PORT — North Port Moose Lodge members who hoped to move their lodge to the former Austin’s North Port restaurant saw the deal collapse.

North Port Moose officers said earlier in April they were planning to spend around $1.9 million for the restaurant, which closed in February. The move across Tamiami Trail was meant to replace the current lodge they have outgrown, and were asking Moose International to approve the deal.
