Agape Flights F406 is loaded for a relief flight to the Caribbean. An equipment failure caused a gear-up landing at an undisclosed small airport in Haiti Friday.

VENICE — One of Agape Flights’ planes was damaged Friday in Haiti, but due to an equipment failure, not the gang violence that had kept the Venice-based relief organization grounded for nearly a month.

“Agape Flights F406 experienced a failure that resulted in a gear-up landing at a small airport in Haiti,” a news release stated.
